Anisotropic Spin Distribution and Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropy in a Layered Ferromagnetic Semiconductor (Ba,K)(Zn,Mn)<sub>2</sub>As<sub>2</sub>

Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of the new ferromagnetic semiconductor (Ba,K)(Zn,Mn)$_{2}$As$_{2}$ is studied by angle-dependent x-ray circular dichroism measurements. The large with field 0.85 T deduced fitting Stoner-Wohlfarth model to magnetic-field-angle dependence projected moment. Transverse XMCD spectra highlights anisotropic distribution Mn 3$d$ electrons, where $d_{xz}$ and $d_{yz}$ orbitals are less populated than $d_{xy}$ state because $D_{2d}$ splitting arising from elongated MnAs$_{4}$ tetrahedra. It suggested that originates degeneracy lifting $p$-$d_{xz}$, hybridized states at Fermi level resulting energy gain due spin-orbit coupling when spins aligned along $z$ direction.
